Free First Sunday: The Art of Sculpture

Sunday, November 2 from 1–4 PM
Free and open to the public

Celebrate the art of four Louisiana icons: John T. Scott, Frank Hayden, Martin Payton, and Ron Bechet by making an original sculpture. Enjoy a special dance performance led by Professor Roxi Victorian and the Southern University Dance Department. Generous support provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.

2:30–3:30 PM – Reflections in Motion: Dancing the Gallery by the Southern University Dance Ensemble
This movement exploration invites audiences to witness dance as a living dialogue with visual art and community. In response to the curated works within the LSU Museum of Art, students embody feelings, memories, and imaginings inspired by the displayed pieces—transforming observation into motion, and reflection into embodied expression.
