Ghost Stories in the Galleries:
A Night of Creative Writing and Sketching

*Must arrive at 6 PM to fully participate in guided experience.

Step into the galleries after dark for an evening of spooky storytelling inspired by the art on view. Let the artworks guide you as you dream up ghostly tales and eerie sketches inspired by what you see. Using our prompt sheet, you’ll build a story piece by piece — following your ghost as it moves through the museum.

We’ll provide writing and sketching supplies, along with prompts to spark your creativity during this guided experience. Costumes are welcome, but must follow museum guidelines.

Costume Guidelines

We encourage guests to get creative and dress for the occasion! To help protect the artwork and ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

Not allowed:

• Wings, tails, or other large/protruding accessories

• Masks or headwear that obstruct visibility

• Prop weapons

• Hard, oversized, or cumbersome props and accessories

• Glitter or costumes with glitter

• Fresh flowers, feathers, or other organic materials

The LSU Museum of Art reserves the right to restrict costumes or accessories that may pose a risk to the artwork, interfere with museum operations, or disrupt the experience of other visitors.
