Family & Youth Programs
Stories in Art / Historias en Arte
On the second Saturday of the month, visit the museum for a kid-sized program designed to support reading and art making for ages 0–6 with parent/caregivers. Enjoy readings in both English and Spanish with a bilingual educator and an art project designed to make families comfortable exploring in a museum setting.
Neighborhood Arts Project
In 2012, the LSU Museum of Art developed the Neighborhood Arts Project, or NAP, a free art outreach program for under-resourced areas with a high density of children, youth and families, who do not attend summer camps or participate in afterschool or weekend programs.
Free First Sunday
On the first Sunday of the month, families enjoy free admission all day, with fun activities geared for children of all ages in the LSU Museum of Art's Pennington Family Foundation Education Gallery.
Free Friday Nights
Looking for an affordable cultural experience to end your week? Visit the museum from 5–8 p.m. every Friday and receive free admission!
